Our vision is to create a patient-focused, compassionate and evidenced-based liver practice that is sensitive to the needs and challenges faced by patients with chronic liver diseases, to help improve the quality of life, functional status and prognosis of patients through best practices and novel treatments. Liver Institute Northwest will be the leader in clinical research in liver disease using the highest ethical principles and will contribute to reduction in the burden of liver disease in the Pacific Northwest.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data

The type of browser and operating system you used, the date and time you visited this site, the web pages or services you accessed at this site and the website you visited prior to coming to this one. These items simply help us understand what is important to our visitors and in no way personally identifies you to anyone.
If you use any of the email links provided on our website you are most often requesting a response from us. The information you provide in these emails is used to respond directly to your questions or comments you may have. We may file your comments to improve the site, or review and discard the information at a later date.

By signing up for any of our services or requesting emails through one of our forms you may receive an opt-in confirmation email to verify your request to be on our mailing list. If you do not respond to this request for verification you will not be added to our list.
